Yellow King Kong Shrimp

This pack includes five (5) Yellow King Kong Shrimp. The shrimp provided are usually sub-adults (1-2cm) in size and the sex is selected at random.

Shipping:

Livestock orders are shipped via Same-day Service (Gauteng) or Overnight Service (Gauteng & Rest of South Africa. The service will be selected at ShrimpCity’s discretion based on timing of the order, availability of the courier and dimensions of the livestock packages.

Orders are dispatched within 1-2 working days after payment has cleared in our account. Livestock orders are only dispatched from Monday to Wednesday. This is done to ensure the best chance of success for shipping, in case of delays on delivery by the courier.

Information:

Yellow King Kong shrimp are a popular dwarf shrimp that was first bred in Taiwan. They are also the first yellow shrimp and most popular yellow shrimp in the caridina genus.

Food: We feed our shrimp various food, including SL Aqua Magic Powder, Mineral Pearls, catappa leaves, etc.
Breeding: Females carry eggs for about 30 days before hatching.

Acclimatizing:

When introducing them to their new tank, please acclimatize them slowly in a bowl over a period of several hours, mixing your tank water with the water they came in, slowly increasing the amount of tank water until you have a mixture of 1/4 transport and 3/4 tank water. After that net them out and put them into their new home. It is normal for the shrimp to lose a little colour during transport. As soon as they are in their new tank they will colour back up to their full intensity.

Our shrimp are shipped in breather bags. Please do not float these in your aquarium, or this will cause oxygen exchange to cease.
